
TAGT is offering two add-on summits, available to in-person attendees addressing Acceleration and Depth & Complexity. The summits will take place concurrently, so attendees are only able to register for one summit. Each summit will take place for 2 1/2 hours on Friday, December 3, and will include lunch.

Join Depth & Complexity practitioner experts as they break down low-prep, classroom-proven techniques for using the D & C Icons and the framework’s other components in this interactive summit. Topics covered include successful strategies for introducing Depth and Complexity into instruction, subject-area application of D & C and Content Imperative Icons, prompting students think deeply about all content, and leveraging Depth and Complexity as an instructional model school/districtwide. Take part in deep, interactive coaching from University of Iowa’s Belin-Blank Center acceleration experts in the giftED21 Acceleration Summit. Attendees will engage in collaborative roundtable sessions related to their school/district acceleration needs, hear from practitioners implementing acceleration in their schools, and explore related topics including subject-area acceleration, early entrance to kindergarten, early entrance to college, whole-grade acceleration, and acceleration for twice-exceptional students.
