Registration
What is the cost of attending the conference?
Click here for a full list of conference fees. Early bird pricing will be in effect through October 18, 2021, and TAGT members receive a member discount. TAGT offers group registration discounts this year for groups of 25. See details here. Contact TAGT to check the status of your membership.
How do I know if I am registered?
You will receive a confirmation email when you are registered. The email will serve as your receipt or invoice if you have a balance due. You are able to view your registration by logging in to your TAGT account at txgifted.org and clicking on “My Transactions.”
How can I get a copy of my receipt for the conference?
You can access your receipt(s) or invoice(s) at your convenience by logging in to your TAGT account at txgifted.org and clicking on “My Invoices.” If you have difficulty logging in or need your password, email membership@txgifted.org.
My registration has been paid for but I am not able to attend in-person anymore. What can I do?
You can cancel your registration for a refund before November 8, 2021. An $80 cancellation fee will be applied. Any cancellations that are made after November 8, 2021 will not be issued refunds.
You may also change your registration type before Nov 15 to giftED21 Online to participate from anywhere. Many conference sessions will be recorded and available for asynchronous viewing through January 31, 2022 so you can participate anytime your schedule allows (click here to view giftED21 Online offerings). There is no fee associated with transfers from in-person to online registrations.
Also, there is no fee for substituting registrations, and you may transfer a registration to another individual at any time on or before November 30, 2021. To make a substitution, email membership@txgifted.org with the contact information of the attendee who is currently registered, along with the information for the person who will be attending in their place. Your substitute will then receive an email confirmation. Please keep in mind that if you have registered at the member rate for the conference, your substitute will also need to be a member or will be billed for the difference for the non-member rate.
The pre-registration deadline (November 30) has passed! Can I still register?
Yes! Email membership@txgifted.org to register after the online registration has closed. Onsite registration is available.
I cannot attend the conference in real time. Will the conference be recorded?
Yes! Many conference sessions will be recorded and available to registrants in an asynchronous capacity through January 31, 2022. Click here to view giftED21 Online offerings.
As an online attendee, when will I have access to the platform to build my session schedule?
By November 8, 2021, you will receive information to access the online conference platform where you will be able view all pre-recorded sessions, build your schedule, explore additional resources, and access livestreamed sessions beginning December 1.
Do I need to pre-register to reserve my place in individual sessions?
You do not need to reserve spots for most sessions and adding sessions to your schedule through the app does not guarantee a seat in that session. Friday Summits require pre-registration and an additional fee.
Are there scholarship opportunities available to attend giftED21?
Scholarships for conference registrations and/or travel assistance are available for TAGT members who have not attended giftED more than once. Past recipients of scholarships are not eligible. Apply for a scholarship by September 30, 2021 here.
Professional Development Hours
How many education credits can I earn by attending?
In-person registrants will have access to up to 19.5 hours of professional learning on-site + more than 30 hours available in recorded sessions.
Online registrants will have access to 20+ hours in pre-recorded sessions + up to 12 hours in livestreamed sessions.
How do I receive credit for the hours I earned?
Included in your electronic conference program is a session tracker form. It is the participant’s responsibility to collect the codes from the sessions attended and mark them on the form. Be sure to make a copy of your session tracker form to keep for your records before you turn it into your district coordinator or the person who keeps track of your training hours. You do NOT need to turn this credit form into TAGT–the association does not keep track of or collect credit forms for members.
Do you offer any other G/T training?
Yes, TAGT offers conferences throughout the year in which professionals can get their G/T training hours. Please visit the TAGT website for conference information and other upcoming events. We also have TAGT On Demand for convenient, quality G/T training courses online. Visit the TAGT On Demand page for more information.

Also, in consideration of each other, giftED21 will be a mask positive conference and all attendees will be strongly encouraged to wear a mask in the giftED21 event space when not actively eating or drinking. If you plan to show proof of a negative COVID test to attend giftED21, the test must be administered by a licensed medical provider (medical doctor, registered nurse, and/or holds Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certificate) no earlier than Sunday, November 28. This includes test administered at doctors offices, at pharmacies, at COVID testing clinics, and by school health officials (if registered nurse and/or holds CLIA certificate). We advise that you make an appointment for testing in advance of the date you plan to be tested in order to attend to ensure you receive results in time.
